Where to Find the Best Pretzels at Walt Disney World

Salty, savory, satisfying….what could I possibly be talking about today? PRETZELS! More specifically, Disney pretzels! (And all the die-hard carb lovers rejoice!)

When I think of theme park food, a soft pretzel is one that surely makes it to the top of the list. Luckily, there are several different varieties of pretzels that can be found throughout the parks and in Disney Springs.

Today, I’m excited to share with you (while happily eating them along the way) the best pretzels to find at Walt Disney World!

Classic Mickey Pretzel

Eating a Mickey Pretzel in Epcot

Oh, the iconic Mickey pretzel. You really can’t go wrong here! The only question you’ll have to ask yourself is; with or without cheese? These are everything that you think of when it comes to theme park pretzels. They’re warm, doughy, and finished off with a sprinkling of course salt. Our favorite part, of course, is that they are shaped into a super cute Mikey head!

These are pretty tasty and will certainly hold you over between meals. We also love the convenience. No need to sit down; these are easy to munch on as you walk through the park or as a great snack to nosh while you’re waiting in line for your next ride.

Mickey pretzels are large-ish, and could be shared if you really wanted to. I’ve shared my Mickey pretzel on multiple occasions. You can find these just about anywhere you look throughout the parks and in Disney Springs. They are typically served at the outdoor snack carts. You can also find them at some of the quick service locations such as the Eats at Epcot Experience.

Spotted in Animal Kingdom there have been pretzels in the shape of Simba. While we haven’t seen them around recently, our bet is they will be around again soon. So keep an eye out!

Our favorite time to grab a Mickey Pretzel is right before the fireworks begin at Magic Kingdom. You can find at least one or two snack carts located right outside of Adventureland and Tomorrowland which is just a few quick steps away from that prime firework viewing!

Hand-Rolled Pretzel in the Germany Pavillion

A step up from the Mickey pretzel is an option found over in the Germany Pavillion at Epcot. When cruising around the World Showcase lookout for the Bier und Brezlen cart usually parked right outside the Germany Pavillion. Here they offer a jumbo hand-rolled pretzel as well as a few beer selections. I don’t know about you, but there are fewer things that go together better than a cold beer and a warm salty pretzel.

Naturally, some of the best beers in all of Disney World can also be found in the Germany Pavilion. (Pssst! Try the Grapefruit beer!) Big enough to share, this is a snack the whole family loves. This is also easy to eat on the go as you continue exploring The World Showcase. Guten Tag, friends!

Pongu Pongu Colossal Pretzel

Head on over to Pandora – The World of Avatar and check out Pongu Pongu, a beverage and snack stand located in Animal Kingdom. On the menu is a Colossal pretzel with cheese sauce.

This pretzel is absolutely humungous and has always been super soft and fresh when we’ve ordered it. While this can’t be used towards a snack credit, the $10 price tag seems like a pretty sweet deal considering its size and share-ability. (I did mention it comes with beer cheese, right?!)

I recommend pairing it with the draft Mo’Hara High County Ale or if you’re after a salty-sweet combo, try Pongu Pongu’s signature Night Blossom. It’s a layered slushy drink with several different fruity flavors and topped with Boba balls.

It’s a real treat! Watch out for those Boba balls – they are fun but can be a bit of a surprise when they explode in your mouth!

Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzel

The Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzel is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a warm soft pretzel, but stuffed with sweet cream cheese! Yummy!!! The outside is dusted with bread crumbs instead of salt.

These are currently available at Hollywood Studios at the cart located near Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. These used to only be available at the Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland but since the 2020 reopening of Walt Disney World, they’ve shifted these around a bit. The Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzel is priced at a little over $7.

Hop Salt Pretzel from the Polite Pig

The most recent and hand’s down our absolute favorite pretzel we’ve ever tried at Disney World is the Hop Salt Pretzel found at The Polite Pig. The Polite Pig is a super yummy Quick-Service restaurant located in Disney Springs. This restaurant can be found right as you come off the escalators at the Lime Garage. While The Polite Pig is known for their signature bbq and bourbon offerings…apparently they serve up a mean pretzel (you can find it as an appetizer on the menu) and we can’t get enough!

This pretzel is huge, a must share and is delivered on its own sheet pan with a side of beer cheese fondue and IPA mustard. Say wha?!!! Coming in at only $9, this pretzel is the best and most delicious value by far.

The pretzel is amazing in its own right; slightly crusty outside, warm and chewy on the inside. It has just the right amount of salt to add flavor but it doesn’t overpower the yeasty flavor of the dough. The hop salt is an interesting flavor, and we really liked it!! The beer cheese fondue is so good! It’s thick, creamy, and has a nice smokey flavor that tasted amazing with the doughiness of the pretzel. The IPA mustard is very flavorful and has a bit of horseradish kick. I couldn’t decide if I liked the beer cheese fondue or the mustard more. So I just alternated dunking my pretzel pieces between the two! What can I say, I’m a girl who likes options!

We ended up pairing our pretzel with one of their bourbon flights and a couple of IPA’s. So if you’re after a pretzel but looking for a bit of a twist, I highly recommend The Polite Pig.
