Review: The Beaches and Cream Christmas Milkshake You Never Knew You Needed!

A new holiday shake has debuted at Beaches and Cream Soda Shop and we can’t wait to share all the details with you!

After a morning of strolling around the World Showcase during Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays, we did the only thing that any Disney fan would do…grab lunch and dessert at Beaches and Cream’s Soda Shop.

What?!! You don’t follow up a morning of festival eats with lunch and a giant milkshake too???

I guess when it comes to our Disney’s treats….we can get a little zany!

Beaches and Cream Holiday Souvenir Milkshake

Oh my goodness! Just look at this beauty! It’s almost too pretty to eat! (But trust us…we didn’t let that stop us!)

Beaches and Cream Holiday Shake with cookie butter ice cream and a red velvet cupcake.

This is a cookie butter milkshake that’s topped with a red velvet cupcake. If that wasn’t enough, red, green, and chocolate syrups are swirled in throughout the shake. The rim is also coated in vanilla frosting with green and red holiday sprinkles.

The Beaches and Cream Holiday Shake is topped off with a red velvet cupcake!

The red velvet cupcake was our favorite part of this treat. Look at all that yummy green frosting! I think I was expecting cream cheese frosting being that this was a red velvet cupcake, but it actually just tasted like vanilla buttercream frosting. Hey, not that I’m complaining!

There was also more sprinkles on top here, too…adorable snowflake sprinkles, of course!

Beaches and Cream Holiday Shake. The yellow star is actually a sugar cookie!

Oh, and that yellow star…it’s a sugar cookie! And because it’s Disney, you can’t have a decent treat without the ears! These are chocolate coins that are just stuck right down into all that delicious frosting!

But How Does it Taste?

We couldn't wait to try out Beaches and Cream's Holiday Milkshake!

We couldn’t wait to dive right in!! The shake comes with big thick straws…and you’re going to need ’em! A bit of cupcake was stuck in the straw for our first sip, but once we got all that worked out…

Ahhhhhhhhh!!! This tasted AMAZING!!!

Yummy! The Cookie Butter Souvenir Milkshake was so good!

Thank goodness there was enough to share! After snacking around the World Showcase and eating lunch, this was more than enough for the two of us, though.

We actually couldn’t finish it!

If you aren’t eating a meal before, or if this milkshake is your meal, then this is the perfect portion to share between two people.

After a meal, this would even stretch to be shared between a family of four. Just ask, and your server will bring out more straws.

Beaches and Cream's Holiday shake also comes with a souvenir cup.

Another neat perk about this milkshake is that it’s also a souvenir! You can take the cup home with you! It’s a mason style jar and we thought it was really cute.

I mean, you might as well! Keeping this cup is like a trophy to show off that you’ve polished off a dessert like this!

After we enjoyed a few sips, we used a bit of finesse to take the cupcake off of the top of the shake. We did it without too much of a mess, too! Now for a look at the inside…

Here's the red velvet cupcake on the top of Beaches and Cream Holiday Souvenir shake.

Gasp! The cupcake is filled with frosting too! There’s the cream cheese frosting that I was after! So sweet and creamy, but not thick like your typical cream cheese frosting.

Beaches and Cream Cookie Butter Shake

Here’s the cookie butter shake after the cupcake had been removed. You can see that you get quite a bit of milkshake here, and the cookie butter flavor was such a nice change from just plain vanilla. It was very delicious!

A few cupcake crumbles landed in our shake. We actually didn’t mind at all…it was so tasty when we took a sip of the milkshake and got a piece of the cupcake too!

Beaches and Cream To Go Window

Where to Get It!!

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop is a casual dining location at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You can find it right next to the resort’s pool area, Stormalong Bay.

I highly recommend making a reservation in advance as this is a highly coveted dining location. If you’re dropping by, you can always check to see if they have any walk-up openings.

This holiday souvenir shake was $15.99 and does include the souvenir cup. If you don’t want to sit down, this is also available from their TO-GO window.

We Highly Recommend It!

We thought this shake was really delicious! It was beautiful, totally Instagram worthy, and super festive for the holidays! We loved all the extras like the star sugar cookie and the holiday sprinkles! The shake was super decadent and the red velvet cake was a real treat!

The price is a little high, but because this could easily be shared between 2-4 people, and you get a souvenir cup, it made us feel like the price tag was fair.

So…have you tried any of the Beaches and Cream’s souvenir shakes or desserts? Let us know in the comments below! We’d love to hear about your experiences and it helps out other readers as well!!
