Today we’re talking all about Animal Kingdom snacks! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is never short on adventures! From exploring alien planets, cruising on safari in Africa, or trekking up Expedition Everest, my family is constantly on-the-go in Animal Kingdom.

Sometimes we’re having so much fun, we’d rather snack around the park than fuss with a sit-down meal. If you’re anything like us, or if you’ve only planned for a half-day in Animal Kingdom, these suggestions will show you where to grab a quick and yummy snack in every land of Animal Kingdom!

Discovery Island

While making our way through Discovery Island, our first stop is always Creature Comforts. This is where you’ll find Starbucks! We make sure to get our caffeine fix here as well as grab a quick breakfast to-go. This starts our day on the right foot and we’ve got plenty of caffeine and food-fuel to get us through our exciting day!

Creature Comforts offers the typical items that you’d find at any Starbucks but with some fun Disney extras. There’s a full selection of coffees, Teavana teas, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and danishes. The amazing Colossal Mickey Cinnamon Roll can also be found here. This is a great option to grab! It’s big enough for the whole family to share and easy to munch on the go. Just grab a few extra napkins on you’ll be on your way!

Creature Comforts is also known for its Wild Animal cupcakes. From monkeys, zebras, bugs, and more-these cupcakes are Insta worthy and delicious too! These also change seasonally, like this AMAZING autumn Tree of Life Cupcake!! Keep your eye out while you’re there. You’ll never know what fun desserts you’ll stumble upon.

Pandora

You’ll be plenty busy while exploring the planet of Pandora. After flying on the back of a banshee or sailing through the Na’vi River, you’ll be in need of a quick power snack.

Pandora has two dining options available. Satu’li Canteen is a Quick-Service location that serves up some really delicious dishes, beverages, and brews. (If you do end up deciding on a sit-down meal, this is one of our favorites in all of Animal Kingdom. We highly recommend it!)

Pongu Pongu is a drink and snack stand located towards the back of Pandora and across from Satu’li Canteen. Here you’ll find the sweet and refreshing Night Blossom beverage as well as some yummy snack options, such as the Pineapple Cream Cheese Spring Roll. It sounds weird, but we promise – it’s actually really good!!

Since we like to share snacks while on the go-we always seem to order the Colossal Pretzel with Beer Cheese. This pretzel is huge and one of my favorite pretzels in all of Walt Disney World! The beer cheese is sooo good, ya’ll!

There is more than enough to share here, and we like to wash it down with either the Hawkes’ Grog Ale or Mo’ara High Country Ale.

Africa

There’s a lot of really delicious food options in Africa! At this point in the day though, we’re usually pretty hot and looking for a cool and refreshing beverage or ice cream.

The Simba Sunset is one of those snacks that definitely fits the bill! You can find this at Tamu Tamu Refreshments which is located directly across from Dawa Bar.

The Simba Sunset is Animal Kingdom’s wild version of the classic soft serve Dole Whip! This is a generous serving of the pineapple Dole Whip, topped with strawberry, watermelon, and coconut flavored red syrup. The addition of the coconut flavor is what really takes this treat to the next level!! This is currently priced at $5.49 which we think is a steal compared to the regular-sized Dole Whip cups which are the same price.

Disney also offers the boozy version of this called the King’s Cooler for $10, with your choice of either coconut or dark rum! YUMMY!

Dinoland, USA

When you’re in Dinoland, make sure to stop by Dino-Bite Snacks and grab the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich! ($6.99)

This is made from vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. My favorite part are the cookies! These are some of the most delicious cookies that I’ve ever eaten. They are soft and have a hint of saltiness. This just balances so well with the sweetness of the ice cream!

Asia

Getting chased by a yeti can really stir up an appetite! As we wind down our day in Animal Kingdom, we usually head over to Mr. Kamal’s Food stand located in Asia.

Here we like to order Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned fries for $5.99. These make for a great quick Animal Kingdom snack! The fries come with a choice of either the Curried Honey Mustard or the Korean Chili Ketchup. We always ask for both! If your kids aren’t too adventurous, you can just ask for ketchup instead.

The serving size is generous and we think the seasoning on the fries is super tasty! Both of our boys love fries, so this is always a happy way to end our day while snacking around Animal Kingdom.

Whew! Now we’re stuffed!

I don’t know about you, but I’m stuffed after all those Animal Kingdom snacks!! We love eating our way through the park, especially when we don’t want to waste a minute to get to all our favorite shows and attractions. We just can’t seem to slow ourselves down when there’s so much to explore!
