Citrus Swirl: Is it Really Better than the DOLE Whip?

What’s a cool, citrus-flavored, refreshing treat that you can find in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland?

I hear most of you Disney fans yelling back with an enthusiastic, “DOLE WHIP!!”

And, you’re not wrong. I’m a huge lover of all things DOLE Whip, too. But the Disney Snack that I’m talking about today friends, is the Citrus Swirl!

The Citrus Swirl is the “sister snack” of the DOLE Whip and don’t hate me…but I like it even better than the original DOLE Whip.

There, I said it.

But according to what ya’ll told me on Instagram, you guys think the same thing, too!

Shew! Now that that’s off our chest…let’s talk Citrus Swirl! ๐Ÿ˜€

So What Exactly is the Citrus Swirl?

The Citrus Swirl is a combo of two of the most delightful foods on the planet…

Orange DOLE Whip Slushy + Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream = Disney Snack Magic!

That’s it. Simple, really! But the combination of these two things just hits, especially on a brutally hot day in Florida.

What makes this snack stand out is the Orange DOLE Whip. The original DOLE Whip that’s found across the way at Aloha Isle is the pineapple flavor. (Which in its own right is pretty amazing also!)

But the Orange DOLE Whip is just really, really delicious! It’s refreshing, slushy, and a little tart. The tart flavor of the Orange DOLE Whip is the perfect mix with the sweetness of the Vanilla Soft Serve. It’s kinda like a creamsicle, but SO.MUCH.BETTER.

Where Do I Get It?

This is important. Because this is a DOLE product, many people get confused and think you can get the Citrus Swirl at Ahola Isle with the rest of the DOLE Whip goodies.

The Citrus Swirl, however, is available from Sunshine Tree Terrace. This is located in Adventureland across from the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House.

It’s a two story building that looks like this…

And unlike Aloha Isle, you don’t need to place a Mobile Order on the My Disney Experience App. You simply walk up to the counter to place your order. It’s usually up in just a minute or two. EASY!

Also, right across from the counter (where I’m standing while snapping this photo) there are benches and other seating areas available. You can sit and relax here while enjoying your Citrus Swirl.

Menu & Pricing

The Citrus Swirl comes in a cup and is available for $4.99.

Below is a photo of Sunshine Tree Terrace’s current menu. As you can see, Citrus Swirl isn’t the only yummy goodness available here.

For a buck more, you can even get an Orange DOLE Whip float with Chocolate or Vanilla Soft Serve and your choice of Soda.

A popular float choice here is the, I Lave You Float. This is made with Orange DOLE Whip, Fanta, Strawberry and Red Passion Fruit Syrup topped with Popping Candy (aka Pop Rocks).
