Review: Tree of Life Cupcake at Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom + Tree of Life + Fall = OMGEEE!

How can so many wonderful things get combined into one special snack?! We have no idea…but somehow Disney’s Animal Kingdom has pulled this off with this Tree of Life cupcake and we are for it!!

We spotted this AMAZING gem at Creature Comforts in Animal Kingdom for $5.99.

Tree of Life Cupcake

So the first thing you can’t help but notice is the size of this cupcake. It’s huge!! But that only makes sense…look at all that gorgeous buttercream frosting loaded up onto the top of this thing! (And the green coloring perfectly mirrors all the beautiful greenery found throughout Animal Kingdom.)

The Tree of life is actually made out of white chocolate. Yes, it’s totally edible!! And the pumpkins are made out of fondant.

The whole top is finished off with pretty sprinkles in the shape and color of fall leaves and pumpkins.

Underneath the bright orange wrapping, we were surprised to find even more yumminess….a pumpkin spice cupcake filled with toffee flavored frosting! This cupcake doesn’t have one, but two different types of frosting going on!!

Is it as good as it looks?

The pumpkin spice cake was SO good. It was dense and super moist! The spice of the cupcake was enough to give it a lot of holiday flavor, while the toffee flavored frosting was nice and sweet.

The buttercream frosting was also very delicious! We are huge fans of buttercream frosting and this was everything it should be; sweet, thick, and extra creamy!

This treat is SUPER rich! You’re definitely going to want to share this one! Also, grab a water or a dark coffee to pair it with. That will help cut the sweetness a wee bit.

It’s gorgeous but messy!

Now, as beautiful as we think this cupcake is…it’s also REALLY messy! Totally worth it, in our opinion, so just make sure you have a lot of napkins or wet wipes with you. You’ll need ’em!

The Tree of Life cupcake is a seasonal treat with availability through November 30th. If you missed this one, don’t fret! Creature Comforts is a Starbucks location that offers the typical coffee, tea, and snacks that you’d typically find at any Starbucks, but with some fun Disney extras!
