Review: Olaf’s Snow Flurry Cupcake

There’s hardly anything cuter than our friend, Olaf…but stick him on top of a sparkly blue snow flurry cupcake, and we become completely UNDONE!!

We can’t even handle the cuteness….

Oh, but wait…there’s more! He even lights up and is a little souvenir that you can take home.

Olaf’s Snow Flurry Cupcake can be found at Hollywood Studios. We snagged him at Rosie’s All-American Cafe. You’ll have to place a Mobile Order using the My Disney Experience app for this location, and you’ll find Olaf under the Holiday Exclusives section of the menu.

This is priced at $7.99, which we thought seems a bit steep for a cupcake. But since it has that adorable Olaf Glow clip, it makes sense as to why this was a bit more pricey than a typical cupcake you’d find at Disney.

This is a yellow cupcake with white vanilla buttercream frosting. The icing is topped with blue “Snow Fairy Sugar” and an Olaf glow clip.

Inside peek of the Olaf's Snow Flurry Cupcake.

The “Snow Fairy Sugar” is really just fancy speak for blue sugar crystals. We loved the snow effect that it gave to the cupcake but we actually didn’t love the taste of the sugar. We noticed that there was a bit of a funny aftertaste…making it taste a tad more artificial than we would have liked.

The cake part of the cupcake was moist, but you actually don’t get a lot of it. This cupcake was mostly made out of frosting! We are huge fans of buttercream frosting and this was yummy, but be prepared because there’s a ton of it!! If you like a lot of frosting, then this cupcake is for you. ๐Ÿ˜€

The Olaf's is also a glow clip!
The glowing Olaf is the real star of this cupcake! As he glows, he changes colors from blue, to green, and finally red.
On the back of Olaf is a clip that use can use to hang him on your clothes or bag.
He’s got a little clip attached to the back of him, so you can attach him to your bag or clothes. I popped him onto the front of my crossbody bag and he glowed through the night while I checked out the holiday projections on the Tower of Terror.

Our Final Thoughts

Olaf's Snow Flurry Cupcake

Overall, the taste of the cupcake was good, but it wasn’t amazing. I think it would have tasted better with a different type of sugar and more of the actual yellow cupcake. The vanilla buttercream frosting was really tasty, and again, if you like sweet treats then this is one that will definitely hit the spot!

Our favorite part, of course, was the Olaf glow clip. It’s super cute and it also looks like there is a small battery that you could replace if this was something you’d want to keep and add to your Disney collections.
