Living with the Land Holiday Overlay is a Greenhouse Winter Wonderland that You Won’t Want to Miss!

Over in Epcot, the International Festival of the Holidays is in full swing! If you’re headed to Epcot this season, you’re definitely going to want to check out all of the festive activities happening around the World Showcase.

BUT before you leave Epcot for the night, don’t forget to make one last stop at the Land Pavilion. Here you’ll find Living with the Land. This attraction gets a special holiday overlay called Merry and Bright Nights. This is when the attraction gets totally transformed into a winter wonderland…greenhouse-style!

A Peaceful Holiday Cruise

The first part of the ride is pretty much the same, but as you enter into the greenhouse sections, that’s when you’ll notice the holiday magic really starting to shine…literally!

Tunnel lights as you enter into the Living with the Land greenhouses.

Here is the tunnel leading out to the greenhouse. Strings of colored lights are strung along and light up the tunnel as you cruise into the greenhouses.

As you head out of the tunnel, you’ll notice tons of bright and sparkly lights woven around the plants and structures of the greenhouse. Big Christmas tree ornaments in bold holiday colors are placed among the grounds and around the other holiday displays.

Throughout your tour, you’ll see these holiday signs posted around notifying guests to ride after the sun sets to get the full effect of the holiday decorations.

The Best Time to Ride

We’ve recently ridden this attraction twice; once during the day and at also night. We have to agree, the best time is definitely once the sun goes down. Everything looks so magical with the lights twinkling throughout the greenhouses.

If you don’t get a chance to ride this at night, no worries! There’s still plenty of holiday decorations and other additions that make it special even during the daylight hours.

Christmas "Sandmen" in the Living with the Land Holiday Overlay.

Aren’t these adorable? These guys look like they are made out of the sand found throughout the greenhouse. The tall sandy snowman is even on skis!

Santa Mickey Topiary in Living with the Land at Epcot.

I love the giant Mickey topiaries that are already incorporated into the greenhouses, but now it’s even cuter with that festive Santa hat!

Our two boys really got a kick out of the reindeer topiary Mickey! Look at those fun antlers and that big gold nose!!

White and colored sparkling lights are strung throughout the Living with the Land attraction.

White and colored light are strung everywhere! The greenhouse really does feel so merry and bright!

Red and green lights glow throughout the hydroponics lab within the Living with the Land attraction's holiday overlay.

In the hydroponics lab, you’ll see green rope lights lined on the top of the fish tanks. This room already has lights that give off a red glow. The addition of the green lights gives it all the cheery Christmas vibes!

Happy Holidays from Living with the Land!

In addition to the holiday lights and displays, there are “Happy Holidays from Living with the Land” signs found throughout the plants and greenery.

We spied these Living with the Land produce boxes! How do we get our hands on one of these?

There are so many fun things to keep a lookout for besides the plant and produce displays. Keep your eye out for hidden Mickeys. This ride has a ton of them.

Special Additions

We’re also loving these The Land produce boxes! These are a new addition this year and we are dying to know how we can get our hands on one of these. Maybe Santa will bring me one this year!

The Biotechnology Lab has got some major holiday cheer going on. We loved how they jumped in on all the decorating fun. Here’s a quick video of the lab as we floated on by.

Did you notice the names on the stockings hanging in the window? We wondered if these are the names of the scientists working behind the scenes at the lab? How cool!
