Review: I Lava You Float from Sunshine Tree Terrace

If you know anything about us, ya’ll know we’re a sucker for a good Disney snack! But when they are unique, tasty, and just plain gorgeous…it’s a no-brainer! We just can’t resist!

And that’s EXACTLY how we feel about this beauty of a snack! Let me introduce to you the I Lava You Float from Sunshine Tree Terrace!

If you’re a fan of the Disney Short Films, then you’ll totally get this reference. For those unfamiliar, this snack is inspired by the fan-favorite Pixar Short Film, Lava. Basically, two volcanoes fall in love during the film.

And yup, the sentiment is the same here…We LOVE this volcano of a float!

Wow, right?! Just gorgeous! And lucky for you and me, it tastes as good as it looks!! But first, here’s where you can pick up one of these for yourself.

The I Lava You Float is found at Sunshine Tree Terrace. That’s over in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom. You’ll spot it across from the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House.

Sunshine Tree Terrance is also home to the Citrus Swirl, another note-worthy snack you should definitely try! Here’s the deets and our full review {Here!}.

Sunshine Tree Terrance is this two-story building. But it’s really just the counter service window below. No need to place a mobile order. Just shimmy up to the counter and place your order. Everything here comes out pretty quickly, so you’ll only have to wait a minute or two.

I Lava You Float Details

Now for all the details! The I Lava You Float is made with Orange DOLE Whip, Strawberry Fanta, Red Passion Fruit Syrup, and topped with Popping Candy. (AKA, the POP Rock candy we loved as a kid!)

Take one sip of this and you’ll be feeling like you’ve landed on your own tropical island oasis. It tastes very delicious!

The Orange DOLE Whip is cool and refreshing. It’s also a tad sweeter and smoother than the Citrus Orange Soft Serve that is used in the Citrus Swirl.

The Strawberry Fanta soda with the Passion Fruit Syrup adds just the right amount of sweetness. The Passion Fruit Syrup is what gives it that tropical taste.

Lastly, the Popping Candy with the soda carbonation gives this float a nice fizzy sensation. But it isn’t overwhelming. It’s just enough to give you the “lava” effect!

We’re so glad that we tried this on our last trip to Magic Kingdom! It was just what we needed on a hot day. We loved the tropical taste as well as the fun “lava effects” from the combination of Popping Candy and the soda. We’d highly recommend this one and I honestly can’t wait to grab another!
