Disney just recently announced the holiday changes for 2020. These announcements included the cancellation of both the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. (Say it isn’t so!) The announcement also included plans for the amended fall decor and Halloween festivities in the Magic Kingdom, which just so happens to be running from September 15th through November 1st.
With all of the excitement and latest announcements, it got us wondering…
We were so curious to see how Disney Springs would be handling the fall season, so we took a trip down this past weekend to scope it out for ourselves. We were thrilled to find so much fall and Halloween themed decor, merchandise, plus food and treats to satisfy our holiday-lovin’ souls.
I was really hoping to find some fall decor up and around Disney Springs. Imagine my excitement when we came across these super festive fall Signs that were posted around the Springs.
I love the fall leaf overlay mixed in with that purple! This makes for a sweet photo opportunity! Or at least it’s a way to convince yourself that fall really does happen in Florida, even when it’s still 98 degree’s outside!
My favorite was this setup with the Mickey topiary and watering fountain. This one can be found in front of the Marketplace area.
Let’s just be honest…This is what my heart was really after on this visit and let’s just say that I wasn’t the least bit disappointed!
Our first stop was at the Candy Cauldron. While this shop is open all year round, its Wicked Witch Villian theme seemed all too appropriate for the current spooky season.
Now, can you believe this bakery case?
Picking out what to get here was a super tough choice! We ended up choosing three different treats…(because I mean, how could you get just one?!)
The Mickey Ear Pumpkin Spice Cupcake…
The Giant Candy Corn Mickey Cookie…
and…
The Crisped Rice Pumpkin Spice Slice! We opted for just a slice, but you can get the whole pie if you wanted! Imagine showing up to Thanksgiving dinner with that!!
There were three different popcorn buckets available during this trip.
How cute is this cheerful and bright Pumpkin Mickey popcorn bucket? For some crazy reason, I failed to get a good picture of the front. I’m sharing a photo from our helpful friends over at the Disney Food Blog.
There was also this purple Minnie & Mickey Cauldron bucket. Adorbs!
The Guinevere Van popcorn bucket from Onward was also still available. We were able to purchase one of these a couple of weeks ago at Hollywood Studios. We’re a little obsessed with ours!
We made sure to make at least a few stops for shopping. We took a quick stroll through DisneyStyle.
As soon as we entered, we spotted some AMAZING Haunted Mansion Merchandise!
We were also loving the many Halloween Mickey T’s and treat bags.
Oh, and the crazy amount of Halloween themed ears just had us in a fit trying to pick out which ones we wanted the most!! These bright mustard-gold ears gave us all the sweater-weather feels!
I ended up settling on another pair at World of Disney. Read on to find out which ones I got! 😉
Halloween themed masks were also available and because we have an upcoming reservation to Magic Kingdom VERY soon, I ended up grabbing one for each member of the family.
You better believe that we took advantage of the special Passholder sales event! I made sure to whip out my Passholder card to save a bundle on our purchases.
If you didn’t know, Disney Annual Passholders can save up to 30% on select merchandise from September 15th through October 29th.
This discount can also be stacked on top of other items that are on sale. For example, the Red, White, and Blue merchandise is currently 30%, but can also be combined with your 30% off Passholder discount, for a total of 60% off. You better believe that I got myself a pair of red, white, and blue ears while shopping in the World of Disney! Because you can never have enough.
Here’s my oldest showing off our discounted loot from our DisneyStyle haul!
We popped into The Ganachery and found this AMAZING Minnie Frankenstein Piñata. Made out of dark chocolate and filled with marshmallow treats, it even comes with its own mallet. This was priced at $28 and if we weren’t walking around in 98-degree weather, I probably would have splurged!
House-made S’mores were also available here. Look at that super sweet powdered-sugar Mickey. These were $8 each, and what doesn’t scream fall like a yummy S’more??
While I didn’t find that these were actually available to purchase, look at these incredible chocolate skulls! I adore these and couldn’t help but wonder which one would taste the best? Hmmm, I think I’d go for that dark chocolate one first. How could something look so delicious and creepy at the same time?! Give a round of applause for The Ganachery! Amiright?!
Vivoli Il Gelato also had some tasty fall offerings while we were there. One is another S’more snack, but this one specifically is a S’Mores Pumpkin Cookie Sandwich. Wait, what?! S’mores, plus pumpkin and cookies all in one snack. Whoever thought this one up is an absolute genius!!
If that wasn’t enough, check out their Pumpkin Mudslide milkshake. This milkshake is made with pumpkin gelato, tiramisu gelato, waffle cone, chocolate sauce, whip cream and topped off with sprinkles. Wow! Now, this a perfect dessert to savor on a cool fall afternoon!
I thought their treats looked pretty incredible, but just how fall-ish is their outdoor seating area in this vibrant orange hue? Ya’ll need to snap a photo of yourself sipping your Pumpkin Mudslide here! How Insta worthy.
Amazing as always, how could we ever expect anything less from Amorette’s bakery?
Their typical, yet incredible chiffon cakes were on full display. But ya’ll already know that it was their fall selections that we were there to see! Or according to the sign, the “Spooktacular Halloween Desserts.”
In the bakery case, check out their Pumpkin Minnie Mousse, Pumpkin Creme Brûlée’s, and the Fall Hazelnut Eclair. Yum, yum, and more yum!
We loved being able to watch the oh-so-talented Cast Members make the Pumpkin Minnie Mousse right before our very eyes. An artist and their canvas, I tell ya!
Ain’t gonna lie, the World of Disney was a popular spot this weekend! Between the summer end-of-season sales, new Halloween merchandise, plus the 30% Passholder discount special offer, Disney shoppers were on their game!
Before we were allowed entry into the store, we were directed to the back entrance which actually faces the parking garage and bus loops. In order to control crowds and limit the number of shoppers into the store, Cast Members were outside informing guests that there was a short ten-minute wait. They were not using the virtual queue option which has been used in the past when wait times had been much longer.
The line looks long here, but it moved super fast. I doubt that we even waited for ten minutes!
The Halloween merchandise and store displays were so exciting to see! Since this year has been so strange, it was comforting to see holiday decorations up and out again!
Similar to DisneyStyle, the Haunted Mansion, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Halloween Lines were out in full force here and we weren’t mad at it!
On our way out of Disney Springs, the last stop on our list was Goofy’s Candy Company! We chose to pass on making our own candy creation, but instead opted for a couple of prepacked fall goodies to take home!
The icing-dipped Mickey Crisped Rice Cereal Treats were all over Disney Springs, but we so just happened to pick them up here.
We also grabbed a bag of Donald’s Creepy and Quacky Halloween Candy Corn Popcorn. How fun are these colors? Not to mention, there’s candy corn tossed in there too!
Let us know how your experience was and if you found any other fun fall merchandise or treats! Leave us a comment below! I’d love to see what we missed!
Happy Fall, Ya’ll!!
