What to Wear to Disney in January

Planning a trip to Disney World in January? You’re in for an amazing vacay—and possibly chilly weather! It’s been surprisingly cold this winter and there’s more cold weather on the way. Brrr! Florida may be known as the sunshine state, but January can bring cooler mornings and evenings. If you’re wondering what to wear to Disney in January, I’m coming in clutch with a practical and trendy outfit idea.

What to Wear to Disney in January

You can’t go wrong starting with a Disney sweatshirt. It’s cozy, warm, and isn’t as bulky as a jacket that you have to haul around all day. Pair it with high-waisted jeans for a comfortable yet polished look that works for just about anything you’ve got planned in your Disney itinerary.

Now, let’s talk about the accessories! I love this Mickey Pom Pom beanie. I’ve worn it for a couple of years and I always get so many compliments. It’s fun and functional. And for your park bag, I’m currently obsessed with belts bags. I think the gold zippers on this bag make it look a little elevated. It’s also hands-free and large enough for your phone, wallet, and a few park necessities.

And, when it comes to shoes, go for comfort. Always. These New Balance sneakers definitely fit the bill. They provide extra support for all those Disney miles you’ll be putting in.

Remember, January weather in Florida can be unpredictable. Mornings and evenings might feel cold, but the afternoons typically warm up, sometimes even up to high 70s and low 80s. You best bet is to dress in layers. For more info and ideas, check out my posts on what to wear to Disney in the winter and the ultimate Disney packing checklist.

January is such a great time to visit the parks. The crowds are typically light, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts begins and even though the weather may be cooler, it’s still pretty awesome! There’s little humidity, plenty of sunshine and not a snowflake in sight. Ahhh! 🙂
