Disney Winter Outfits — What to Wear to Disney in the Winter
Are you planning a Disney trip this winter and wondering what to wear? Trust me, I’ve been there! While summers at Disney are all about beating the heat, winters bring their own unique challenges. As someone who lives right behind Disney World, I can tell you that winter days here can flip-flop between cool mornings, warm afternoons, and chilly evenings. It’s all about layering smartly while staying comfortable (and photo-ready!). Today, I’ve rounded up some cute Disney winter outfit ideas for women to make your packing and park days stress-free.

Winter weather in Orlando is typically mild and pleasant, but it can be a bit unpredictable. Daytime highs often range from the mid-60s to the low 70s, making it comfortable for exploring the parks. However, mornings and evenings can dip into the 40s or 50s, so you’ll want to bring layers. Rain is less common in the winter months, but it’s always smart to pack a small poncho or umbrella just in case. Of course, you’ll want to check the weather forecast for your trip before you start packing.
Because the weather can fluctuate so much in the winter, my top tip is to dress in layers. For bottoms, my go-to options are leggings, biker shorts, joggers, or comfy jeans that I know I can walk in all day.
On top, I usually start with a basic T-shirt as my foundation (bonus points if it’s Disney-themed). From there, I add layers like a lightweight sweater, zip-up hoodie, or even a denim jacket to keep warm in the cooler mornings and evenings.
When it comes to footwear for your Disney winter outfits, my top recommendation is sneakers. But here’s the deal—don’t bring brand-new ones! Never and I mean NEVER come to Disney with new shoes. Ask me how I know? If you’ve just bought a pair of new sneakers for your trip, start wearing them now and break them in before you actually step foot in the theme parks. You will thank me later.
In addition to sneakers, consider packing a pair of flip-flops or sandals if you plan to swim at your resort. And if we get one of those rare Florida cold snaps, comfy boots like Uggs can work too. Just know that while boots are cute, they’re best suited for shorter park days since they aren’t ideal for walking miles around Disney.
Disney Winter Outfit Shopping Guide
When I’m packing for a Disney trip, I aim to be ready for everything — park days, pool time at the resort, and dinners out — without overpacking and feeling overwhelmed by too much stuff.
To keep it simple, I usually stick to a capsule wardrobe approach, where pieces can easily mix and match. Plus, all Disney resorts have laundry facilities, and most off-site Orlando hotels do, too, so you can always freshen up your clothes during your trip.
When it comes to winter accessories like scarves and gloves, you’ll notice I didn’t include many. Honestly, you probably won’t need them, and they’ll just take up valuable space in your luggage. Save that space for souvenirs instead!
Fun fact: on those rare chilly days, Disney merchandise stores roll out carts with plain hats, gloves, and scarves for purchase. They’re not Disney-themed, but they’re usually more affordable than other park merchandise—and a lifesaver if the temperatures surprise you.
And here it is … Disney winter outfits all organized and ready to go! I created these outfits with Disney World in mind, but you could even use these ideas for a Disneyland trip.
